The Bible is a book filled with journeys. Some long and some short, but each shares a common thread. All of them were important. From the very beginning of creation, men and women have been traveling.

New Heights Church is no different. We add our history to a long line, a tapestry making up the greatest story ever told. We embrace the truth told throughout history, the good news of Jesus Christ. We whisper the words of Paul when he says in Philippians 3:12b, “I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be.”

New Heights Church began in 1999 when four families began to consider their journey. They asked, “Are we heading in the right direction? Are we being who God has called us to be?” These four families were drawn together by God and given a vision to share this great story, to share Christ and Christ alone. The group gathered with the firm belief that where you are going matters more than where you have been, and with a hunger to experience the same journey that took a baby from a manger to a hill outside Jerusalem called Calvary.

We have done much over the years to share this story with our community; Medical Mission, the Clothing Closet, Helping Hands Tutoring, and Garage Giveaway are just a few. We invite you, wherever you are today, to join us, to become a part of something greater than all of creation, a journey best shared.

Every journey has a beginning.

One Body

· The Universal Church: The Bride of Christ. See Ephesians 5:25-27

· The Local Church: In order for the church to act and serve as one body, we believe it is necessary to have an accountability system set up where everyone knows his or her role.

One Spirit

· We believe that anyone who has been purchased by the Blood has received the gift of the Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

· We believe He is our Counselor, our Guide to all Truth, and Herald of Things to Come. He will never contradict what is already written in Scripture. (John 16:7-15)

· We believe that those who allow the Spirit to rule will produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control in a their life. (Galatians 5:22-23)

· We believe the Holy Spirit is as active today as it was in the early church to give guidance, perform miracles, healing, signs, and wonders.

One Hope

· We believe that God spoke creation into existence, and it was made without sin. This creation lived in harmony with itself and its Maker. (Genesis 1, 2)

· We believe that sin entered the world through mankind’s disobedience. Because of this, mankind became separated from God. (Genesis 3)

· We believe that from the foundation of time, God had a plan to restore this relationship. In order to restore hope, a sacrifice had to be made.

· We believe that Jesus Christ is that perfect sacrifice. Through His atonement, we have hope of salvation, hope of transformation, and hope for eternity. (Hebrews 10:1-18)

·

One Lord

· We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin conceived through the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:34-35)

· We believe He lived a sinless, human life.

· We believe He was bruised and beaten, died on a cross, and came back to life from the grave on the third day to free humanity from the bondage and condemnation of sin. (Isaiah 53, Luke 22:47-24:53)

One Faith

· We believe that faith is completely trusting in who God is and what He says. Because of this, faith is more than affirming facts or defending certain values, it is following God’s plan for you in your life. (Hebrews 11, Ephesians 2:8-10)

· We believe we should put faith in God in every aspect of our lives, from relationships to finances as well as our careers.

· We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It aides us in deepening our faith and teaches what His instructions are.

One Baptism

· We believe that baptism by immersion represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:3-7)

· We believe it is essential to approach Christ at the cross, and ask Him and Him alone for forgiveness of sins.

· We believe the next step after repentance is baptism by immersion, a uniting with Christ. (Acts 2:37-39)

One God and Father of All

· We believe God has eternally existed in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and one God. (Genesis 1:2, John 1:1-4)

· We believe that this God exists outside creation and is over all creation. We believe that God is sovereign. In His sovereignty, He is in control of all things. In that control, we have free will which allows mankind to freely choose
